 You do not necessarily need training to become a successful model. An agency should be able to provide you with a basic introduction to modelling, or they may arrange for you to go on a modelling course if they believe that you have real potential. But a true agency will not charge you for taking these courses.
You can also undertake modelling courses independent of an agency. They can range from a day to several months long and will cover all aspects of modelling.
Helpful Hint: Some smaller agencies may insist that an aspiring model pay to go on their one-day modelling course. Please be aware that it is not standard practice for any of the major UK modelling agencies to charge models for their courses. This is simply a way for the agency to generate extra income and doesn’t imply that the agency is a big-hitter.
