The UK Hotlist was created in 2007 to provide a powerful online networking tool for British modelling. Run by a full-time professional team, the UK Hotlist offers a gateway for people that are new to modelling and a stepping-stone for those already in it. The UK Hotlist has brought all of the online facilities that have previously only been available in several different locations under one roof.

On the UK Hotlist you can upload your portfolio for free. That is life-time membership for nothing! There is no pressure to buy, no free trial periods when your free account will expire and then you have to buy an upgrade. There are no catches where you have to buy something additional to your membership either!

There are paid memberships. These are totally optional but offer you more exposure and a larger base from which to market yourself. We hope that you yourself will discern whether an upgraded profile is worthwhile for you, or not.

Why do we have paid memberships and a shop selling merchandise at all? The UK Hotlist is a full-time company. This website is not a hobby. It is not something we play at in our spare time. Having launched in August 2007, it is still early days for the UK Hotlist. With your help, we aim to grow to be a major player and a credit to UK Modelling. We can only achieve that with a team of full-time and dedicated staff.

Your UK Hotlist Portfolio can be sent out to any agent or potential employer, no matter if they are registered with us or not. This is a free service for every professional agency, scout, manager and producer on the scene. When an agent registers with the UK Hotlist they get unlimited access to our database of members. They can use it to search through and shortlist their favourite candidates, then contact them directly using our secure internal messaging system. Members are automatically notified when they have a message waiting for them. From then on the dialogue between the agent and the member is not restricted, so both can converse freely.

You may notice that the UK Hotlist does not host casting information. There is a very simple reason for this. The UK Hotlist is not an agency. An agent will find a model work, that is the agent’s job. Finding work for their clients is what agencies do all day every day and a good agent will do a much better job than a third party can. We focus purely on our job, which is facilitating models and agencies to do theirs.
